Join us for an evening with the bestselling Joanna Cannon, author of The Trouble with Goats and Sheep, Three Things About Elsie and, most recently, A Tidy Ending. Joanna will be joining us to talk to us about her latest book, Will You Read This, Please? - a frank and impactful collection of twelve stories as told to our best British writers, based on the lived experience of people who have faced mental illness.
Joanna will be signing copies of her book purchased at Kibworth Books.

Joanna Cannon grew up in Derbyshire;, later studying at the University of Leicester Medical School. She worked as a junior doctor, before specialising in psychiatry and started to write her debut novel in the NHS car park during her lunchbreak. She is a regular panellist on radio, TV and at literary festivals across the country and regularly reviews books for The Guardian. She co-wrote and presented the BBC Radio 4 programme Papageno and the Poetry of Disquiet, about the relationship between poetry and mental health. Together, her books have sold almost a million copies and have been translated into 14 languages. She lives in the Peak District with her family and her dog.
