Joanna will be joining us to talk to us about her latest book, Will You Read This, Please? - a frank and impactful collection of twelve stories as told to our best British writers, based on the lived experience of people who have faced mental illness.

About Joanna:
Joanna Cannon grew up in Derbyshire;, later studying at the University of Leicester Medical School. She worked as a junior doctor, before specialising in psychiatry and started to write her debut novel in the NHS car park during her lunchbreak. She is a regular panellist on radio, TV and at literary festivals across the country and regularly reviews books for The Guardian. She co-wrote and presented the BBC Radio 4 programme Papageno and the Poetry of Disquiet, about the relationship between poetry and mental health. Together, her books have sold almost a million copies and have been translated into 14 languages. She lives in the Peak District with her family and her dog.
