Welcome to the Kibworth Books Pay It Forward Scheme!

Community is at the very heart of everything we do here at Kibworth Books. We love books and stories and we want everyone to be able to access the joy of reading. We want to do all we can to ensure that any barriers to access to quality books are removed and that we can support the community we serve. 

With this in mind, back in December '24 we launched our 'Community Secret Santa' campaign. Working in collaboration with local, award-winning charity The Well, Kibworth Books sought to raise funds via customer donations to buy a book or gift for someone within the community who may not otherwise be able to afford it. Thanks to your huge generosity, together we raised over £1400 which was used to select around 60 bespoke Christmas gifts for individuals and families in the local area. 

With funds still remaining, we have also been able to gift £250 worth of board books to the charity Baby Basics to kickstart a new partnership and we've also been able to reach out to offer new books to a school affected by local flooding. 

Your donations have already made such an impact. 

So now, in 2025, we want to keep momentum going and grow this campaign further. We'll continue to work with our dear friends at The Well to identify individuals and families who might benefit from the scheme, plus we'll be forging connections with other charities and community groups to ensure that all funds are used for maximum impact. 

All donations gifted via this scheme will be added into the fund and will help bring joy and a sense of community support to each and every recipient. We appreciate every single one - thank you so much! 

How to Donate

1. Via the website - simply add your donation to your shopping basket and check out. We'll be in touch to confirm your donation. 
2. In-store - Let us know if you'd like to make a donation at the till or simply top up your change to include a donation.
