Comic Jam with Beach

Love comics? Then let’s get scribbling!
Join us for a one-hour comic workshop with author and illustrator Beach, in celebration of his latest book Class Pets. You’ll explore all the ins and outs of making comics – designing cool characters, creating dynamic lettering and drawing brilliant stories.
Art materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your favourite pens or your own sketchbooks.
Ticket price includes a copy of Class Pets (RRP. £9.99), a drink and a snack.
About Beach:
Beach is an illustrator who loves making books. He's had a few different jobs over the years, but his favourite before this one was making pizzas. If you can think of it, he has probably tried it on a pizza. Chips work surprisingly well as a topping. Donuts, not so much.

Need to Know Info:
This event will take place in the Children's room at The Barn. We have limited space for scooters etc outside, weather permitting. Regrettably we do not have dedicated inside space for buggy storage but we will do our best to accommodate everyone.
This event is open to children, tweens and teens of all ages who love comics, graphic novels and drawing. The book, Class Pets, is perfect for readers aged 6+.
Parents are welcome to join in with their children or to enjoy browsing the bookshop. We will provide stools as needed.
Photos may be taken during the event for social media purposes. Please rest assured that backs of heads only will be photographed unless explicit permission has been given by the accompanying adult. If you would prefer for your child not to be in any photos do just let us know and we will be sure to honour this.
