Meet multi-million-copy selling, award-winning author (and former Children’s Laureate) Cressida Cowell, creator of the book and film sensation How to Train Your Dragon, and other bestselling series Which Way to Anywhere and The Wizards of Once. Cressida will be signing copies of her latest books purchased from Kibworth Books - HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON SCHOOL: FIGHT OF THE FLAMESTRIKE, WHICH WAY TO THE FUTURE, and her other books too.

Please note pre-booking is required for this event. This is to manage waiting times, stock levels, and ensure the best experience for everyone!
To secure your place in the signing queue, Please read carefully through the information below and then click on the link in bold. This will ensure you have all the details you need for the booking and will allow you to pre-purchase the books you'd like signed on the day.
Need to Know Info:
Bookings for the book-signing event close at midnight on Sunday 22nd November. If you would like to book a place / purchase a book for the event after this date please do contact the bookshop as we may be able to help.
Cressida will be signing books purchased from Kibworth Books only. We politely request that you do not bring books purchased elsewhere to this signing. A maximum of six books can be signed at this session.
Cressida is happy to have photos taken with her fans so we are happy to be able to accommodate this.
Please note that the book-signing will happen on a first come, first served basis and that we're unable to reserve specific spaces in the queue. We would advise arriving in good time for the start of the session at 4.15pm. Please do expect queuing time, including outside of the shop, and come prepared as appropriate (e.g. water bottles, use of a toilet before hand, appropriate clothing/footwear etc). If you have any specific access requirements or are unable to stand for long periods please do flag this with us at point of booking and we will do our best to chat this through with you.
Please note we do not have a customer toilet available so recommend using facilities ahead of your visit. (We do appreciate that children can be unpredictable in this regard!)

About Cressida:
Cressida Cowell is the author and the illustrator of the globally bestselling How to Train Your Dragon series. Her next series, The Wizards of Once, was an international bestseller. Cressida is also the author of the Emily Brown picture books, illustrated by Neal Layton. The Which Way series is her most recent and has already been translated into 15 languages. How to Train Your Dragon has sold over 8 million books worldwide in 42 languages. It is also an award-winning DreamWorks film series, and a TV series shown on Netflix and CBBC. The Wizards of Once has been translated into 38 languages and also signed by DreamWorks.
Cressida was the Waterstones Children's Laureate (2019-2022). She is an ambassador for the National Literacy Trust and the Reading Agency and a founder patron of the Children's Media Foundation. She has won numerous prizes for her books, including the Gold Award in the Nestle Children's Book Prize, the Hay Festival Medal for Fiction, and Philosophy Now' magazine's 2015 Award for Contributions in the Fight Against Stupidity.
She grew up in London and on a small, uninhabited island off the west coast of Scotland and she now lives in Hammersmith with her husband, three children and a dog called Pigeon.
