One winter evening, Lydia Marmalade arrives at Lady Partridge's mansion. She has nothing to her name except her sausage dog, Colin, but she's determined to make this her new home.
Lady Partridge isn't at all keen to make Lydia part of the family. If Lydia doesn't behave herself until the end of the winter season, she'll cast her off entirely. And now her mother's gone, Lydia doesn't have anywhere else to live.
Helped (and often hindered) by a mischievous winter sprite, a grumpy butler and a hungry Colin, Lydia makes a wish on the most magical night of the year. Sometimes you just need magic to light the way forward . .

Requests for signed / dedicated copies (not for school orders)
If you'd like to place an order for a signed copy, please check out in the usual way, selecting collection or delivery as required. If you would like Cariad to dedicate the book, please make a note of the name for dedication in the 'Note to Bookseller' comment box.
Any orders for dedicated or signed copies must be placed by Monday 1st December. Please contact the bookshop for advice on availability if this deadline has passed.
School Orders
NB: Website pre-orders for the event are now closed.
1. Add copies required to your shopping basket.
2. Go to your shopping basket.
3. Enter your child’s full name, class and school name in the ‘Note to Bookseller’ comments box – this is to ensure we can get your order to you! (You can find this box under the text NOTE TO BOOKSELLER / GIFT MESSAGE REQUEST (IF APPLICABLE). Clicking in the box to type makes it more visible!)
4. If purchasing an additional copy to ‘Pay it Forward’ please also make a note of this at this point.
5. Click on the grey ‘check out' button.
6. Add the discount code provided by the school to receive a 15% discount.
7. Please click ‘Collection’ as your delivery option. Kibworth Books will deliver your child’s book to the school so there is no delivery fee to pay.
8. Enter payment details and proceed to review order to check out.
All books ordered ahead of the deadline on 28th November will be collated and delivered to the school, ready for the event. If you have missed this deadline, please do contact the shop as we may still have stock available. Orders can still be placed after the event for collected from the bookshop for free or sent by post. Signed copies will be provided whilst stocks last. Any additional copies bought via ‘Pay It Forward’ will be collated for the school to redistribute as needed.
